Deborah Williams, a beloved member of the Scotch Lake community, passed away on January 31, 2026, at the York Care Center. Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, in 1954, she was the daughter of Clara and the late Manford Billings. Deborah was 71 years old at the time of her passing.
Deborah's life was dedicated to serving the Provincial Government for over four decades until her retirement. She found solace in nature, particularly in observing the hummingbirds that visited her outdoor sanctuary. Her love for the natural world was a constant source of joy.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Frankie, of Scotch Lake, and two children: Melissa (Marc) of Fredericton and Dana (Sara) of Alberta. Deborah was a proud grandmother to Kayley, Aubrey, and Evan, and she cherished her special friendships with Emily and Amy.
In accordance with the family's wishes, there will be no traditional funeral service. Instead, a celebration of Deborah's life will be held at a later date. Those who wish to honor her memory may make memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada, Parkinson's Canada, or the Fredericton SPCA.
The family extends their gratitude to the compassionate and dedicated staff at York Care Center for their exceptional care during Deborah's stay. Their support was invaluable.
The funeral arrangements are entrusted to Bishops Funeral Home & Crematorium, located at 540 Woodstock Road. Online condolences and memories can be shared at www.bishopsfuneralhome.com.
