During a visit to a fan club, the national player stated that he wanted to play again last month.
National player Jamal Musiala is expecting a return to the FC Bayern (https://www.sport1.de/team/fc-bayern-muenchen/opta_156) "in the coming weeks." This was said by the 22-year-old during the New Year's visit of the fan club Red Bull Taubenbach near the German-Austrian border.
The Munich team's friendly match in Salzburg on Tuesday (3 pm) is too early for him, he added to around 1000 fans in Simbach am Inn.
Trainer Vincent Kompany hopes to give Musiala his first minutes of playtime at the end of January. If it were up to Musiala himself, he would have already been on the field.
"It's not just my decision. If it were my decision, I would have played last month. We're just making sure I come in smoothly and not be afraid."
Bayern Star Musiala: "Everything is going really well."
Musiala returned to team training just before Christmas (https://www.sport1.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/2026/01/fc-bayern-musiala-nimmt-training-wieder-auf-schon-vor-den-kollegen) after his severe injury (leg fracture and ankle dislocation) sustained in the Club World Cup quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain (0:2) in early July.
"I've been training a lot, and everything is going really well. But we don't want to rush it. We're taking it one training session at a time," he said.
Before heading to the fan club visits, which started 40 years ago, the Munich team had a training session on Sunday morning in the sunshine and frosty temperatures.
Kane Greeted with Blasmusik
Due to the tight schedule, the traditional Advent visits by the Munich professionals were postponed to the first weekend of the new year.
Harry Kane visited the fan club Red White Bombers in Denkendorf in the district of Eichstätt, where he was greeted with brass music. He also signed the Golden Book of the community.
