But here's where it gets controversial... Marquez described feeling a sudden, violent impact on his rear tyre as he jumped the kerb, likening it to hitting a 'big rock'. This unexpected obstacle punctured his tyre, forcing him out of the race.
Marquez, who was running a smooth and conservative race in fourth place at the time, believed he could have pushed for a higher position in the final laps. "P4 was certain, maybe even P3, and why not P2?" he said, expressing his frustration at the untimely setback.
