Frontier Diagnostics, located at 649 Scottsdale Dr., is now accepting bookings online for a range of essential imaging services, including X-rays, bone density tests, ultrasounds, and mammograms. With a team of five radiologists, three technologists, and two front desk staff, this state-of-the-art facility aims to provide efficient and accessible care.
But here's where it gets controversial... While wait times for X-rays are typically short, ultrasounds and mammograms often face delays across Ontario. Dr. Zafir Syed, a diagnostic radiologist and one of the facility's owners, acknowledges this challenge: "Delays can vary, ranging from weeks to months, depending on the demand and the time of year."
However, Frontier Diagnostics is committed to minimizing wait times. Currently, ultrasound appointments are available within a week, and the facility is accepting walk-in patients for X-rays.
"We're thrilled to be part of the Guelph community and to collaborate with local physicians and healthcare providers," Dr. Syed said. "Our goal is to ensure that residents have timely access to the imaging services they need."
With a near-5,000 square foot space, Frontier Diagnostics is well-equipped to handle the demand. The facility's strategic location, alongside the Guelph Family Health Team and other medical resources, further enhances its accessibility.
