In a move that has caught the attention of football fans, Tim White, a standout receiver known for his explosive performance, has signed a contract with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers after parting ways with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. At 31 years old, White made a significant impact during the 2025 season with the Ticats, recording an impressive 84 receptions that totaled 1,016 yards and resulted in seven touchdowns. His exceptional performance placed him ninth in the league for receiving yards, showcasing his ability as a top-tier player. Hamilton decided to release him as a pending free agent, allowing him an opportunity to explore the open market earlier than expected.
Standing at five feet nine inches and weighing 175 pounds, White has established himself over five seasons in Hamilton, participating in 83 regular-season games where he accumulated 383 catches for 5,488 yards and scored 33 touchdowns. Remarkably, he achieved the milestone of surpassing 1,000 receiving yards for four consecutive seasons, which earned him accolades including four selections to the All-East Division and three All-CFL honors.
Originating from Santa Clarita, California, White was among the highest-paid receivers in the CFL last season, earning $224,800 in hard salary, ranking as the fifth highest in the league.
Interestingly, this transition to the Blue Bombers brings him back under the guidance of Tommy Condell, who was appointed as Winnipeg's new offensive coordinator in December.
